Pastor - Ramon Alanis

Pastor Ramon Alanis, is a teacher and lover of the Word of God. He was called to pastor the congregation of Living Word Apostolic Church in 2001. The church and Pastor Alanis are blessed with the woman at his side, Elizabeth and their children Rebecca and Joel. They live and model the roles defined by God’s Word. While their relationship is not without trials and afflictions, they have demonstrated what it means to trust and believe in God’s faithfulness. Like his favorite character of the Old Testament, Joseph, Pastor Alanis has and continues to seek God’s favor in all that he does.
The key point of his ministry is to always preach God’s Word in a clear and concise manner. The second is to nurture a congregation with a love and sensitivity for God’s Word. This desire has become a reality as the church continues to grow in wisdom and in number. Pastor Alanis has since begun a Spanish Ministry which ministers to the community and continues to flourish.
As a mentor, Pastor Alanis believes many of the youth are seeking to follow after a positive example and pursue the ministry. He is a great believer is providing an atmosphere of love, fun and teaching for the children. We are blessed to have a Children’s Ministry that provides just that. Pastor Alanis is very innovative and not afraid to implement change that will benefit the membership and bring Glory to God.
The mission of the church …”Touching People Through The Spirit of Christ”… has truly been fulfilled as Pastor Alanis has touched the lives of this congregation with The Spirit of God!
Pastor Alanis is currently serving as Elder of the East Los Angeles District. A 1st generation Apostolic, he was baptized at El Monte Apostolic Church in 1985 by his mentor and father-in law, Bishop Lopez, where he served in various positions. He has also served as an Official with the Messenger of Peace both the Sector and District level, and four years as the Director of the District’s Ministerial School, SADELA.
Assistant Pastor - Isai Rangel

Isai Rangel has faithfully served the Lord since his baptism in 1991. He has served in various levels of church leadership including Local, Sector, and District levels. He is happily married to Celeste Rangel and they are blessed with two children: John and Kayla and are currently expecting a third child. Isai was ordained to the ministry in 2005 and has developed a passion to preach and teach the Word of God. His background includes an Associates Degree in Christian Education. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Azusa Pacific University. Isai currently serves as Assistant Pastor at Living Word where he faithfully serves the Lord.

Joseph Barajas Jr. was baptize in 1976 in Denver, Co. In 1987 he married Donna and since then they have been blessed with 4 children, Ashley, Gionatan, Seth and Hannah. He is now serving as a minister and music director at Living Word..
Deacon - Javier Moreno

Javier Moreno gave his life to the Lord in August of 1992. In 1996 he married Susie Salvador. They have been blessed with their children Michael Isaiah and Kandace Renee. Currently, he, along with his wife, serve as youth pastor. His desire is to reach out to those who are lost in this community. Shame on me if I preach not the Gospel!
